Practicum Student Therapist:
Caitlin McKimmy, MTS, MA

Caitlin (she/her/hers) is in her 7th year of the doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, a master’s degree in Buddhist Studies from Harvard Divinity School, and a bachelor’s degree in Religion and Neuroscience from Carleton College. She integrates her expertise in mindfulness and compassion into her evidence-based therapeutic approach. Before coming to BCCBT, Caitlin provided therapy at CU Boulder, the Safe House Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN), and the Integrated Behavioral Health team at Denver Health Hospital. She has received specialized training to provide transgender affirming therapy and especially enjoys working with adults who wish to address anxiety, mood disorders, sleep concerns, gender dysphoria, and bipolar disorder. As a bilingual provider, Caitlin is happy to provide services in English or Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys trail running and reading poetry.
