Monika Hauser, PhD, Partner

Dr. Hauser is a licensed psychologist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapies (in particular, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD (EX/RP)) for a wide variety of difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, sleep disorders, and relationship issues. While she lived in Germany, she completed her studies in psychology at the University of Potsdam, where she received her Diploma of Psychology in 2001. During that time, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute for Human Development in Berlin, Germany. After moving to the US, she started the graduate program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received her PhD in 2006.

After the completion of a one-year pre-doctoral internship at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, she returned to Boulder and completed a 1-year postdoctoral training in the treatment of alcohol dependence. She continued at the University of Colorado at Boulder as a Research Associate working on treatment outcome studies investigating Family Focused Treatment (FFT) and Mindfulness-Based-Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She established her private practice while serving as the Staff Psychologist at the Robert D. Sutherland Center for the Evaluation and Treatment of Bipolar Disorder.
Currently, Dr. Hauser works full time in private practice where she provides individual, group and family therapy to her patients, supervises trainee therapists, and is a managing partner at BCCBT.
