Diagnostic Evaluations

Whether you are not sure if your difficulties would warrant a mental health diagnosis, or you are looking for a second opinion on a diagnosis you already received, a therapist can conduct a diagnostic evaluation to help clarify. A diagnostic evaluation consists of a clinical interview and self-report measures. In some instances the therapist may invite family members or friends to ask them questions that would help with establishing the correct diagnosis for you. You will receive a written report summarizing what you and your family or friends reported, stating your diagnosis, if any, and listing treatment recommendations, if any are indicated. Please contact us to schedule an evaluation or to inquire. It is important to note that a diagnostic evaluation is NOT a neuropsychological assessment that determines cognitive functioning (such as dementia or attention deficit disorder).
