Monika Hauser, Ph.D., Partner

Dr. Hauser is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in cognitive behavioral therapies (in particular, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)) for a wide variety of difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, and relationship issues. While she lived in Germany, she completed her studies in psychology at the University of Potsdam, where she received her Diploma of Psychology. During that time, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute for Human Development in Berlin, Germany. After moving to the US, she started the graduate program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received her PhD. After the completion of a one-year pre-doctoral internship at the SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, she returned to Boulder and completed a 1-year postdoctoral training in the treatment of alcohol dependence. She continued at the University of Colorado at Boulder as a Research Associate working on treatment outcome studies investigating Family Focused Treatment (FFT) and Mindfulness-Based-Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and established her private practice. Currently, in addition to her private practice, she is a Staff Psychologist at the Robert D. Sutherland Center for the Evaluation and Treatment of Bipolar Disorder.
