Cognitive and behavioral therapies are delivered in a highly collaborative relationship between client and therapist that emphasizes the client’s values. These therapies are goal-oriented, present-focused and evidence-based. They have demonstrated effectiveness with a myriad of difficulties, including mood and anxiety disorders, grief, trauma, sleep disorders, relationship problems, substance abuse, eating disorders, maladaptive health behaviors, compromised performance, and stress.

Included among these therapies are cognitive and behavioral therapy (CBT) for depression and bipolar disorder, behavioral activation (BA) for depression, family focused therapy (FFT) for bipolar disorder, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), CBT for panic, social anxiety and generalized anxiety disorders, exposure and response prevention for OCD, CBT for insomnia and other sleep disturbances, and behavioral marital therapy.
